Fort Fun on Eastbourne seafront is to re-open next month after a major refurbishment.
The children’s amusement park has been shut for some months since being taken over by new owners The Partyman Company last August.
Behind the scenes contractors have been building new attractions and bosses say it will open on June 19.
James Sinclair from the company said, “It’s a major refurbishment going on at Fort Fun at the moment.
“There will be a brand new golf course, a new fish and chip shop on the seafront side of the complex, refurbishment of the indoor and outdoor play areas, a role play village and other attractions.
“We are so thrilled to be the new owners of Fort Fun and we felt that Fort Fun deserved to have some love and it is all very exciting.”
The official opening is scheduled for June 19 and the Herald will be giving away free tickets to local children.
This news comes after the announcement that a giant water slide is set to come to Sussex.
