Firefighters tackle Eastbourne house fire
Firefighters were called to a fire at a house in Eastbourne this morning (March 22).
Two crews and a fire officer from Eastbourne were called to the blaze on Parkfield Avenue in Hampden Park at around 10.17am.
Crews used breathing equipment and firefighting foam to extinguish the fire.
They confirmed the fire, which had started in the lounge, was accidental.
All persons were accounted for and there were no injuries.
A fan was used to clear smoke from the area before firefighters left the scene at 10.44am.
