Crews from Uckfield, Hailsham and Herstmonceux were sent to Deanland Wood, Golden Cross, at around 4.25pm to reports of a fire in the kitchen and roof space of a mobile home.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to tackle the fire.

Crews spent time cutting away, damping down and checking for any hotspots to ensure that the fire was fully out, as well as carrying out salvage work.
