Firefighters rescue trapped sheep near Hailsham

Firefighters were called to the rescue of an injured sheep after it became trapped in water near Hailsham today (Friday).

Two crews, including the animal rescue unit from Crowborough, were called to a field on the A271 in Lower Horsebridge after reports of trapped livestock.

A sheep was successfully rescued from the water but another had already died before crews arrived on the scene.
