Firefighters called to Old Town fire

Fire crews were called to a fire in Old Town last night (Thursday).

A spokesperson for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters received a report of a fire in the open.

The spokesperson said, “One fire engines from Eastbourne attended the scene on Cobbold Avenue.

“A bush had caught alight affecting a property but was out on arrival of the crews. They used a thermal imaging camera to check the fire was fully out.”
