Firefighters called out to Polegate blaze

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a fire in the open in Polegate yesterday (Wednesday).

One appliance from Pevensey and one officer were sent to the scene on Dittons Road at 6.17pm.

The fire, consisting of wooden pallets, was allowed to burn out under the supervision of firefighters.

Crews left the scene at 7pm.
