A spokesperson at ESFRS said, “On arrival it was confirmed that one car had become stuck in water. The water level was level with the bottom of the car doors.

“The car was pulled to safety and the driver led to safety prior to the arrival of crews. No one was injured.

“We would like to urge drivers to avoid driving through floodwater as it is hard to assess how deep it is or whether there are hidden obstacles.”
