A fire destroyed a house in Seaford in the early hours of Sunday morning (December 14), and a woman was treated by paramedics on scene.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said it was called at 4.53am to reports of a fire in a domestic property in Seaford.
Fire crews from Lewes attended an address in Vale Road and found ‘a severe fire’ on the ground floor of a two-storey property.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a hose reel and three main jets to tackle the fire.
Sussex Police, the ambulance service and building control officers were also in attendance.
A woman was treated by paramedics at the scene.
The fire service said an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
