Festive fun in Old Town at Historic Christmas Fair

Local businesses and residents in Old Town have now finalised the plans for their second Historic Old Town Christmas Party and Seasonal Street Market tomorrow (Saturday December 14) between 1pm-5pm.

The bells of St Mary’s Parish Church Tower which will be ringing out from midday until 1pm to launch the event and for the first time this year children can enjoy the Fairground Striker, Chairoplane and Carousel rides.

Stalls in Crown Street and Star Road will be selling seasonal craft items, including gifts, cards and produce.

Entertainment includes Hunter’s Moon Morris Dancers who are performing during the afternoon outside the Crown from 1pm. The Voices choir are outside the Star at 1.30pm and the Voiceworks choir outside the Star at 3.30pm. The popular Sea Gypsies will be dancing in the Crown at 3pm. At 4pm and 4.30pm the spectacular Pentacle Drummers will be performing at the Star.

Community Wise in Ocklynge Road will be joining in the fun with a gift stall and hot drinks and the Senlac Handbells will be performing at Community Wise at 4pm and 4.30pm. Father Christmas will be at Metcalfe’s Hair Studio and there will be Henna Tattoos at Vinyl Frontier.
