Feedback wanted on Eastbourne plan

THE COUNCIL is asking residents to put the final touches to a document which will shape the future of the town.

Eastbourne Borough Council is asking for feedback from residents in a 12-week consultation on its long-awaited Eastbourne Plan which imagines the town in 2027.

The council will showcase the plan at events and exhibitions but are also looking for feedback from younger generations via social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

Cabinet member for the environment councillor Steve Wallis said, “We hope the local community will actively respond to this consultation exercise and work closely with us to deliver a prosperous future for our town. I believe everyone has a valuable role to play in helping us achieve this.”

The Eastbourne Plan looks at housing needs, shops, open spaces, transport infrastructure and employment opportunities.
