A RECORD amount was raised at Bishopstone’s Village Fair on Saturday as sunshine and a host of activities drew in the crowds.
The event followed on from the Royal Wedding and a life-sized cut-out of the happy couple, which was later auctioned off, could be seen at the fundraiser.
Many people wore red, white and blue for the occasion which took place on Bishopstone’s village green.
Maypole dancing, entertainment from LGB Brass and dancing from the Wendy Mann School of Performing Arts were some of the highlights on Saturday.
More than £2,700 was raised, and will go towards the maintenance of Bishopstone Parish Hall.
