Esperance hospital is shortlisted for healthcare award

Eastbourne’s BMI Esperance Hospital has been shortlisted for an award linked to a Department of Health initiative.

The staff’s delivery of the scheme, which assess patients who are at risk from deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, has seen the hospital shortlisted for a prestigious 2013 Independent Healthcare Award.

The annual awards recognise outstanding quality and innovation in the independent healthcare sector and rewards teams and individuals for their dedication and commitment.

The initiative at BMI Esperance Hospital is part of a wider group wide initiative from its parent company, BMI Healthcare, whose Thrombosis Board has been shortlisted in the Risk Management category for its group wide ‘VTE Exemplar Status’ accreditation.
