Empty Eastbourne buildings may be demolished

Empty buildings in Eastbourne town centre could be knocked down to make way for new homes.

A planning application has been submitted to Eastbourne council to remove existing buildings behind 3-5 Susans Road and build five houses on the site.

Developers say two of the new homes will be two bedroom and three of the properties will be three bedrooms.

In a statement submitted with the application, agents said, “It is proposed to demolish the existing buildings within the site which were formerly in use as a car hire and workshop premises and construct five two storey residential dwellings.”

The agents went on to describe the proposal as good quality residential accommodation in a highly sustainable location.
