Pictures from the scene show the RNLI joined by Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service in a search around the pier. A spokesman for the police said officers were called shortly before 2pm after 'cause for concern' was raised about someone in the area. The person has been found, police said, and is safely in the care of officers.
