A 27-year-old Polegate man is running 62 miles from Eastbourne to Arundel in August to raise cash for the British Heart Foundation.

Ollie Goulden is a personal trainer and no stranger to keeping fit. However, this will be tough challenge even for him.

Ollie will start the challenge at 6.30am, run over the South Downs and finish before sunset the same day.

He said, “It is going to be a mental challenge as well as a physical one and I think it is going to be the mental part that will be the most difficult to overcome.”

Ollie, who is currently training and preparing himself on the South Downs, is taking on the challenge in memory of his wife’s grandmother, Patricia Stocker, who passed away after a heart attack between Christmas and New Year.

Patricia, also from Polegate was known to have a heart condition and was a big supporter of the British Heart Foundation.
