Jodie Fiona King, 35, of Winchester Way, appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Friday, February 19.

It followed an attack on a 48-year-old man in Eastbourne town centre in May 2015 which left him with serious cuts and bruises to his head, body and arms.

The victim received hospital treatment for his injuries.

King, who was convicted of the offence on January 21, has also been the subject of an anti-social behaviour injunction since September last year.

Since then King has appeared in court for breaching the order. On Wednesday, February 17, she was found guilty of four offences - three breaches relating to having open vessels of alcohol in a public place and one of causing harassment, alarm and distress.

King is due to be sentenced separately for these offences in four weeks’ time.

Chief Inspector Emma Brice, Eastbourne District Commander, said, “This is an excellent example of partnership working with various agencies and of following the anti-social behaviour injunction process.

“The attack on the man was horrific and will not be tolerated. Violence and anti-social behaviour is not acceptable and we will always work with others to prevent this happening in Eastbourne.”
