Eastbourne woman in court over alleged love rival attack

An Eastbourne woman has appeared in court accused of assaulting her lover’s wife.

Annazelle Bird, 43, of Meads Street, is charged with assaulting Carrie Bird in an argument over the accused woman’s relationship with Mark Bird.

Annazelle Bird denied the charge when she appeared before a district judge sitting at Hastings this morning (Friday) and also pleaded not guilty to assaulting two police officers Glen Douglas and Kayleigh Page during an incident on June 11.

Bird will stand trial on the three charges at Eastbourne Law Courts in October and was remanded on conditional bail until her next court appearance.
