Eastbourne woman, 25, suffers serious injuries in motorbike crash

A woman motorcyclist is seriously ill in hospital after her bike crashed into bollards on the A26 near the Cliffe Industrial Estate, Lewes.

She was airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

The A26 was closed between its junction with the A27 Lewes by-pass at Southerham Roundabout and the northern portal of the Cuilfail Tunnel at Malling Street.
