Fast food chain Wimpy has promised it will return to Eastbourne after closing its town centre restaurant this weekend.
The British burger chain closed the doors of its Terminus Road for a final time on Sunday (May 8).
In a message left in the window of the now empty restaurant, Wimpy thanked customers for their support and promised to return to the town in future.
The Wimpy chain was founded in London in 1954 and its height ran more than 500 UK restaurants. In 1989 it was taken over by Grand Metropolitan with most branches becoming Burger Kings.
