Eastbourne residents joined with NHS staff to give thanks for everything the NHS has done for us and continues to do at the event at the top of Terminus Road by The Belgian Cafe.

A range of stalls from different departments both in the Eastbourne DGH and the wider NHS community, mingled with food provided by The Belgian Cafe.

Stephen Lloyd MP dropped by the party to thank the hardworking staff for everything they do.

He said,“I met all the stall holders for a chat. They represented a wide range of services from our local NHS Trust and a great bunch they were. These folk really do give so much to help others and were a fine example of the Health Service we all know and love.

“Happy Birthday to our beloved NHS - truly - our lives would be so much worse without you.”
