“NHS 111 advisers can also assess if you need an ambulance and send one immediately if necessary. The NHS 111 service is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a team of fully trained advisers.”

The CCG says it is working closely with Eastbourne Station Health Centre staff to ensure any required repair work is finished quickly so that services can return to normal as soon as possible.

The spokesperson added, “We’d like to thank local people and patients for their understanding during this time and apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will provide regular updates on progress as soon as they are available.”
