Eastbourne’s big beer festival is back for 14th year running

The biggest beer festival in East Sussex returns to Eastbourne’s Winter Garden this October celebrating 14 years of success, and tickets are already selling fast.

For three days only, the venue will be home to award-winning beers, live music, classic pub games, cider bars and more for festival goers to drink in and enjoy.

Tickets for the popular event have been officially released and can be purchased from Eastbourne Theatres Box Office and from the Eastbourne Tourist Information Centre. The festival offers four different sessions to choose from, with Friday evening once again in high demand.

Incredibly, more than 160 real cask ales will be on tap, featuring old favourites such as Derbyshire’s Thornbridge Brewery’s Jaipur, which won its third Eastbourne Award last year for Beer of the Festival. There will be plenty of new drinks joining the menu too, including some original flavours from local breweries which have recently started up.

Cllr Margaret Bannister, Eastbourne Borough Council Lead cabinet member for culture, tourism and enterprise, said, “Sussex is well-known for its delicious variety of independent breweries, and the festival has proved to be a wonderful way to taste and celebrate local produce year in year out.

“Last year saw more than 4,000 visitors at the Winter Garden and tickets will be sure to sell quickly for 2016. We cannot wait to welcome the festival back and raise our tankards to the festival’s 14th year!”

Ticket prices vary for individual festival sessions. Tickets for Thursday, October 6 from 6pm – 11pm, are £6 in advance, £4 for CAMRA members and students and £7 on the door. Friday, October 7 sees advance tickets priced at £10, £7 for CAMRA members and £11 when purchased on the door, with doors open from 5.30pm to 11pm.

Saturday, October 8 is split into two sessions. Tickets for the day session 11am – 4pm can be purchased at the advance ticket price of £7 and £5 for CAMRA members, or on the door for £8.

The final session is on Saturday evening 6pm – 11pm and is £6.50 if bought in advance, costing CAMRA members £5, tickets £7 on the door.
