To mark more than 20 years of fundraising for the charity, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution has awarded a specially commissioned plaque to long-term supporter Frank Wellbelove.
Frank started his support for the RNLI first at his home town station The Mumbles and later for Eastbourne lifeboats.
Over the years Frank, along with his wife Jane, has organised many events and raffles at his retirement village home at Deanland Wood Park, raising approximately £20,000 for his favourite charity.
The plaque was presented to Frank by the chairman of the Lifeboat Management Group, Dr Colin Mckee, along with some of the current crew of Eastbourne lifeboats.
