Eastbourne post office closes temporarily

A busy post office has closed temporarily.

The Seaside Post Office closed on August 22. Post Office officials say it is temporary but have not given any reasons as to the sudden closure.

A spokesperson said, “We sincerely apologise to customers for inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of Seaside Post Office. We understand and appreciate how much communities rely on our services. We would like to reassure customers the decision to suspend services at any branches is never taken lightly.

“We take very seriously any decision to temporarily close a branch and will only do so when it is warranted. We are working hard to restore services for the community as quickly as possible. In the meantime customers can access post offices at St Anthonys, Eastbourne and The Crumbles.”
