An Eastbourne post office is to close for two weeks as the office is refurbished.
The Old Town Post Office on Ocklynge Road will close on Tuesday September 15 before reopening at 1pm on Friday September 25.
Once refurbished the office will be open for an extra 10 hours each week and have two new open-plan counters in the store.
The refurbished post office will be open Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 7pm and on Saturday between 10am and 2pm.
While the work is completed, people needing to use the post office are asked to use either the Terminus Road or Green Street offices.
Area Manager David Gold said, “We are confident this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.
“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future. The investment marks a commitment to our no more branch closure programme.”
