Officers said they received a call on August 10 from a member of the public who was worried about a woman she had seen walking towards Eastbourne railway station.

The woman was reported to have cuts to her face and a bandage on her right arm.

Police said she told the member of the public she had been attacked by her boyfriend’s dog and was not allowed to leave her flat.

The woman is described as white, 5’ 8”, skinny, in her late 20s with light brown hair in a bun.

She was wearing a green parka jacket, jeans and carrying two bags, one of which had a children’s pattern on it.

PC Leon Franco said, “We are keen to trace the woman in the picture to ensure she is safe.

“We know she was trying to get a train to Crawley but without a ticket she failed to board the train.

“Are you the woman in the picture or do you know who she is?

“We want to help and we can provide support for you.”
