A pedestrian flagged down a motorist and then threw a cup of ‘corrosive liquid’ over him.

Police have just revealed that the incident took place on January 20, at about 11pm, in Langney Road, near Bonners.

The victim was flagged down by a pedestrian who, after an exchange of words, threw a cup of liquid, believed to be something corrosive, over the victim before running off.

The victim suffered minor injuries from the liquid and was forced to seek medical attention.

The pedestrian is described as being a white male, 20 to 25 years of age, stocky build and between 5’ 8” and 6’.

He was wearing a dark coloured bandana style hat and dark coloured jacket.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, especially two men who were standing on the pavement close by.
