An Eastbourne model shop is holding a fundraising event to help provide a welcome boost to a children’s hospice.
Train Times Model Shop in Seaside is helping to raise funds for Demelza in the Community by holding a raffle over the next month for four tickets to the Hornby Visitor Centre in Margate.
Dad Stephen Spence obtained the tickets and decided to team up with Sebastian Hale-Smith of Train Times for the fundraising raffle.
Stephen said: “I try and do a little fundraising for Demelza Children’s Hospice due to them being so helpful and supportive with my daughter Connie-Jean and indeed the whole family.
“They are a real essential service for many families in Eastbourne and East Sussex and I like to do my bit to help them out when I can.”
The raffle tickets will go on sale tomorrow (Thursday, August 13) to coincide with the opening day of Airbourne and the anniversary of the re-opening of Train Times.
The winning ticket will be drawn in September.
