Seven people charged with conspiracy to supply heroin appeared in custody at Brighton Magistrates Court on Thursday (March 26).
The charges follow arrests and seizures of drugs and cash by Sussex Police officers from Brighton in an operation on Tuesday (March 24).
Arthur Jones, 53, of Downs Avenue, Eastbourne, appeared alongside Lea Smith, 44, Natal Road, Brighton; Kingsley Walls, 42, Langley Crescent, Brighton; Lee Mack, 48, Sheepcote Valley Caravan Park, Brighton; Ronnie Edwards 48, Chiddingly Close, Brighton and Sean Davidson 47, Downhill View, Brighton, in court.
All were remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on April 17.
Julie Coltard, 41, of Langley Crescent, Brighton, was released on court bail to appear on the same date as the other six.
A 40-year old man, a 43-year old man, two other men, aged 29 and 62, and two other women, aged 62 and 28, arrested on suspicion of conspiracy in Brighton, have been interviewed and released on police bail until May 13.
A 47-year old man and a 49-year old woman, both from Liverpool, are still in police custody for interview and further enquiries.
India Williams, 23, of Langridge Drive, Portslade, has been charged with obstructing police and is due to appear on bail at Brighton Magistrates Court on April 9.
