A 54-year-old man has been jailed for 12 months and must register as a sex offender for 10 years after admitting making 249 indecent images of children.

Graham Baillie, 54, unemployed, of Willingdon Road, pleaded guilty to the charge at Hove Crown Court on January 29.

Baillie was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for ten years severely restricting his access to computers.

The prosecution resulted from an intelligence-led investigation by the Paedophile On-Line Investigation Unit (POLIT) of Sussex Police.

None of the images were believed to be of local children and there was no evidence of any ‘contact’ offending.
