Roll out the red carpet - here’s calling the businesswomen of Sussex.

Female entrepreneurs are urged to have their diaries at the ready for one of the most eagerly awaited dates in our region’s commerce calendar - the Sussex Women In Business Awards.

This June’s big Euro vote will be followed by another hotly contested ballot in choosing our most successful businesswomen.

Eastbourne’s plush Grand Hotel – the UK’s only remaining five-star seafront hotel – will provide the backdrop for a night of glitz and glamour on October 7.

Leading solicitors Hart Reade, sponsors since the beginning of the awards, have again stepped forward as the headline sponsors of an event that will showcase Sussex as one of the country’s most successful regions for businesswomen.

Hart Reade partner Alexandra Funnell said, ”We’re delighted to again be associated with an event that truly recognises business excellence.

“And, as always, we shall let our hair down and party in style.”

Herald events executive Karen Beck added, “There is a wonderful tradition to this event and this year promises to be the best ever. And this year the Grand Hotel will give us an added touch of class.”

Sussex Newspapers’ group events and exhibitions manager, Dianne Gill, added, “Our county is known nationally for its women entrepreneurs. The women who have put us on that map deserve this recognition.”

A large number of category sponsors are already in place. The event will include popular categories including small, medium and large businesses of the year.

To sponsor a category contact Karen Beck on 01323 414498 or 07841 800401, or email her at karen.beck@jpress.co.uk

Nominations for these prestigious awards will be sought by mid-summer.
