Eastbourne’s H&M has reopened today (December 12).
The store, which was the first to be opened of the multi-million pound Arndale extension The Beacon, shut unexpectedly on December 4.
Signs put up in the shop’s windows said it had closed temporarily to ‘ensure the safety of customers and colleagues’.
The issue is believed to have been involving the store’s fire exits, though no official statement has been made by H&M.
It reopened at about 9am this morning.
A spokesperson for the owners of The Beacon told the Herald previously, “We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of H&M. We are working with the store to re-open it as quickly as possible.”
