Eastbourne’s new free school is holding open events for sixth form students next month.
Gildredge House, which opened on the former dental estimates board site in Old Town back in September 2013, is expanding each academic year.
Lea Gilbert, head of the school, said, “This year we shall increase student numbers, as we welcome Year 12 into our school for the first time, in addition to our intakes in Year 7 and Reception.
“By September 2015 we could have as many as 600 students - almost half the Published Admissions Number of 1,232 when our school is full, which we are due to reach in 2018/19.”
The open evening will take place on February 4 at 6.30pm and Mrs Gilbert will give talks at 7pm, 7.30pm and 8pm. There will also be an opportunity to look around the new school.
To book a place at one of the talks visit www.schoolinterviews.co.uk and enter code B9CAX.
Although the deadline for final applications is not until March 1, Gildredge House recommends that prospective students apply and choose their courses as soon as possible to maximise their chance of getting their preferred combination of subjects.
