A CONTINENTAL force of market traders occupied Eastbourne’s seafront last week.
Top producers from across the Channel set up shop and flogged their wide selection of speciality foods, soaps and leathers from Tuesday to Thursday (May 5). Almost 30 stalls displayed their wares for passing punters to sample and buy.
The Brunomart French and Continental Market had everything from Ingo Jasper’s Genuine German Sausages to David Hanley’s wine from his vineyard Cave a la Rose.
A spokesperson for Eastbourne Borough Council said, “Held on Eastbourne’s picturesque promenade, visitors loved having the opportunity to purchase genuine French goods and live like they’re abroad, with the sights, sounds and aromas of France and the continent.”
The market is organised by Bruno Girardeau and assisted by the council.
