Eastbourne couple on TV reality wedding show

Laura Thompson and Dave Temple, who tied the knot at Gildredge Manor last year, were the stars of the small screen on Monday night in their bid to win a luxury honeymoon.

Filmed in the run up to their wedding, Laura and pals Justine, Vicky and Carla had to race against time to get back to Eastbourne from a remote mountainside in Bulgaria in time for the woodland themed wedding.

Laura, known as Loz, and her friends found themselves hitch hiking from Bulgaria to Romania and trying to raise cash by singing and working at a local bar.

Various local landmarks are shown on the programme as the cameras also film Dave and his friends in Eastbourne organising the wedding including Urban Ground coffee shop in the town centre, Scarlett’s Beauty Rooms in Seaside, Stone Cross Garden Centre, and Gildredge Manor.

Get Me To The Church on W, Channel 109, follows a bride, groom and their friends who, following a raucous pre-wedding party, are dumped in a far flung corner of the world with no possessions or local knowledge.

Their challenge is simple: get to the church by any means possible in order to win an incredible luxury five-star honeymoon.
