A CONCRETE post is causing concern in Shinewater. The slab is situated around the centre of Milfoil Drive and placed on an embankment. What makes this slab newsworthy is it has a piece of wire sticking out of it. Even more dangerous is where a bus embarked the embankment last year and left a dip in the grass. This has caused people to fall over and narrowly miss the concrete slab and wire. One person last week was treated to a shave by the slab it was so close! Look out for this and be careful. The issue has been reported.

THE last Bank Holiday market of the year took place last week at Langney Shopping Centre. I managed to get my hands on some old copies of Retro Computer Game Magazine (sad I know!), a toy helicopter (not for me honest) and a packet of chocolate fingers. But don’t despair as your regular Tuesday and Saturday markets will carry on through the rest of the year.
SHINEWATER Fun Day took place on Saturday and what a great day it was. Thanks to all who supported and attended the event. Preparation has already begun for 2013!
