A COFFEE morning will be held at Christ Church this morning (Wednesday), 9.30am-11am. Admission is free.

THE Friendship Club for senior citizens meets on Thursday (February 10) in the lounge of Duke Bernard Court, Latimer Road, from 2.15pm to 3.45pm.

Members meet on a social basis to chat over a cup of tea, or take part in quizzes or games.

THE HISTORY of Eastbourne Lifeboats is the subject when Paul Metcalfe speaks to members of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute on Friday, February 11.

Meetings are held at the Fishermen’s Club in Royal Parade, 10.30am for 11am,.

Non-members are welcome to attend at the cost of £1, which will include some tea or coffee and biscuits.

A FUNDRAISING dinner in aid of the Prostate Cancer Trust will be held at the Langham Hotel on Friday, February 18, when popular Irish singer Frank McCaffrey from County Mayo entertains. The dinner is 7.30pm for 8pm. Book on 731451.

LADY Crabtree returns to St Philip’s Hall for a fundraising evening of comedy, reminiscences and song - joined by mezzo soprano Dame Margot Hamilton, Countess of Richborough.

The two society ladies will get together for the first time in more than 40 years.

The light-hearted entertainment, called Dowagers Reunited, begin at 7.30pm on Saturday, February 26, at St Philip’s Hall, opposite Whitley Road fire station.

Tickets cost £7, which includes hot food during the interval - book by calling Meg on 487229.

All profits will go to the local and international charities which are supported by Christ Church and St Philip’s.
