THE NEXT coffee morning at Herstmonceux church is on Saturday, January 22. They’ll all be there serving up coffee, tea or hot chocolate as well as a delicious selection of cakes between 10am and noon.
All are welcome. If you can help out with a cake or two on the day they would be more than grateful but don’t worry if you can’t, they’d still like to see you and hope you’ll enjoy catching up on all the local news and possibly taking part in the Sponsor a Shingle for the spire.
You can put a message on your piece of shingle and a record of it will be put into the book for future reference so please, as you can see, lots to do, lots to talk about and if you would like more details please call Pam on 833079.
THE NATIVITY and craft afternoon planned for just before Christmas, had to be cancelled due to bad weather, so therefore they have decided to hold a Bright Party in the community area at the back of Herstmonceux Church on Saturday, January 29.
They’ll be making and taking home craft items and also those very special Christingles for the service at Wartling Church on the 30th.
Donations of food and offers of help would be most appreciated as would any donations towards the cost of the materials.
If you need more information then give Pam a ring on 833079 or just pop along, they’ll make you most welcome and you will enjoy their company and all that goes with it during the afternoon.
ARTS Hut: Did you realise that since opening the Arts Hut in the village in 2007, they have actually exhibited the work of some 70 local artists as well as hosting a range of special events such as, farmer’s markets, wine tasting and a print workshop.
Their 2011 programme will concentrate on four main exhibitions and will still be able to remain open to shoppers on Mondays and Fridays, 9am-5pm.

The first of their shows will be held in March and I promise to give you all the details closer to the time.
