OUR LOCAL evening Extend group is now, most definitely, meeting on Monday evenings in the village hall between 7pm-8pm.
And just to make things that little bit more complicated their next meeting, on Monday, December 20, will be the Party Night, when members take along some nibbles etc and they’ll be exercising in a party atmosphere.
They won’t meet on December 27 but are keen to get going again on January 3 and so, for those who don’t know about Extend, it is aimed at the over 60s or those a little less able and could benefit from some gentle exercise and a very friendly atmosphere.
New members are always welcome and don’t worry about whether you will be able to fit in or keep up, trust me; you’ll be able to keep up.
Cost is £3.50 per session - more information from Sue on 832300, 07801849306 or email email@example.com Not forgetting of course Cassie Harris also runs an Extend afternoon session - to find out more call 832358.

A BIT of a do! - Yep, Angie and Bill along with myself and Terry and Sandy and Terry invite you all to the Brewers Arms inn Herstmonceux on Wednesday December 29 for a bit of a do. Our very own Tom Fitzpatrick, the Teenage Crooner, will mak his last performance as a teenager, so will have to think about a renaming. Tom as you know performs a variety of very popular songs from both now and then and mostly in the style of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Michael Buble.
Regular readers of the Herstmonceux column will know by now that Tom has recently returned from performing in New York but his heart is with the Brewers so he’s back and we welcome him with open arms. A light buffet will be served during the evening and let’s make this, Tom’s last performance as a teenager a great one.
I DON’T think there will be much more this year so it just remains for me to wish you all a very happy Christmas, a healthy and prosperous new year and I look forward to hearing from you all in 2011 with all your news.
