FOUR kittens dumped in an Eastbourne alleyway have made a full recovery thanks to St Anne’s Veterinary Practice.

The three-week-old cats were taken in to the vet surgery in the middle of August. Three of the kittens were grey and one black.

Veterinary nurse Menna Field said, “One of the grey kittens had a head tilt and we weren’t sure if he’d make it but he’s made a full recovery and you can barely tell there was ever anything wrong with him.”

Veterinary nurse Hazel Sheppard (pictured) took care of the kittens day and night apart from a week’s holiday when Menna took them on.

Menna added, “They are now big mischievous kittens and luckily all now have homes. They were really hard work but seeing them now has made it all worth it.”

St Anne’s is holding a heart evening next week.

Dog or cat owners concerned about their pet’s heart are being invited to attend the information evening on October 19. It will be held at 6 St Anne’s Road at 8pm. Gemma Hopkins will give a talk on heart murmurs and heart disease. Anyone interested in attending is asked to call 640011 or email stannesvetsonline@hotmail.co.uk.
