ADVENT WINDOWS: Last year the Dicker Residents’ Association ran a real life village Advent Windows event. It was very successful and brightened up the village over the pre-Christmas period. This year they are running the event again, in a slightly different format, and are looking for volunteer households. All you have to do is decorate a window in your chosen festive style, and light it each evening from approx 5pm to 9pm throughout Advent from the date you’ve chosen on the form below. There will also be a special get together in the Plough from 7pm on Tuesday December 18 to celebrate the lights and raise money for St Wilfred’s Hospice. It is hoped that many of households that took part last year will do so again. If you would like to take part and light up a window, please fill out a form from and return to Simone Cranston, 1 Landsview, Camberlot Road, Upper Dicker, BN27 3RG.You can also email [email protected] or telephone 01323 844745. If you would rather just look at the lovely decorations, please still come along to The Plough event on December 18 to meet friends and neighbours and help raise some money for St Wilfred’s. Which houses will be lit each evening will be published nearer the time.
