DRAINAGE & FLOODING: The replacement and repair of the sewage pumps have hopefully alleviated flooding to properties near Upper Dicker’s Recreation ground. Blockages and consequent breakdowns are caused by non-soluble waste such as wet wipes and nappies being flushed down toilets. Cllr John Parsons was thanked for his efforts in sorting out the problems with the water at the entrance to the recreation ground and for highlighting to Southern Water the concerns over the sewerage. The Parish Council will continue to monitor whether the installation of a new pump has now solved the problems.
