FOOTNOTES: Both Jack and I are indulging in a little self-congratulation this week. A shiny new, yet to be inscribed cup, is on the sideboard and a substantial cheque deposited in the bank. Some weeks ago, I entered a short story competition, and much to my surprise, won it. So last Tuesday we trotted over to Eastbourne to collect the aforementioned cup and cheque. So extra treats for Jack and a special meal for me.
Other than that, we are enjoying the wonderful weather, as we hope you are. Watching the faces of those around us, it is apparent how much other people are as well.
