COUNCIL MEETING: There will be a meeting on Wednesday in the Civic Centre at 7.30pm.

FLOWER CLUB: Peacehaven and Telscombe Flower Club normal meeting, for the third Wednesday of each month, is deferred to July 30 instead, for this month only. I will remind you when the time comes.

FOOTNOTES: Both Jack and I have been out and about this week, exploring the villages and countryside around us and getting well tanned in the process. Well, not Jack, whose black coat, means he has to be in the shade for considerable times. I always carry a golf umbrella in the boot of the car and stock up with plenty of water in bottles, together with his drinking bowl. That way I can make sure he, (and myself), has shade wherever we are. Even so, we have to limit ourselves to how long we are outside. Years ago I lived in Spain on the Costa Blanca and was used to and loved the heat and sunshine, but I was a lot younger then. Now in my seventh decade, I am no longer able to cope with it for long periods. However, both of us still revel in weather, where you can wear what you like, feel warm without the need for overcoats, gloves, etc., long may it last. As we are now considering solar panels in our little cottages’ roof, to supply us with electricity, we hope, in future years, it will last even longer. Go safely and enjoy your week and weekend.
