REME: THE NEXT MEETING OF the Eastbourne and District Branch of the REME Association will be held on Wednesday June 15 in the Junction Tavern, Polegate starting at 7.30 pm. A DATE FOR YOUR diary: The Friends of the Eastbourne Cat Protection Centre will be holding their Summer Fayre, at the Centre in Hailsham, on Sunday July 3 from 12 noon to 3 pm. All are welcome to attend and help make this event a success.

WESTHAM WI: will be serving an Afternoon Tea on Saturday June 11 to help celebrate Her Majesty the Queens Official Birthday. Tickets cost £5 (including refreshments) and can be obtained by ringing 01323 762374 or 654165. Funds raised will go towards the purchase of a defibrillator for Westham Village.

Rally: there will be a rally at the Eastbourne Football Club in Priory Lane Sports Club on Sunday June 12 from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be fun for all the family including cars, motor cycles, stationary engines, military vehicles, tractors, vintage buses and trade stands. Refreshments will be available.

DO YOU, OR HAVE you ever played Bowls?: Maybe you have but have since last touch with a club. If that is the case, why not get in touch with The Royal Sovereign Bowls Club at The Greens, Princes Park, Eastbourne who will make you very welcome. CONCENTUS: will be singing in Summer on Saturday June 25 at the Kings Centre, 27 Edison Road when they will be accompanied by children from Heron Park Academy and Stafford Junior School. Music will included classical to contemporary pieces, including Zimbei, the sounds and songs of Africa.
