THE PEVENSEY AND WESTHAM Historical Society: will meet on Monday April 4 in Westham Village Hall when The Rise and Fall of the Herstmonceux Observatory will be the subject of the talk being given by Keith Brackenborough. The meeting will start at 7.30 pm and will be followed by refreshments. The normal attendance charges will apply i.e. 25 pence for members and £1 for non-members who will be made very welcome.
Fun Day: there will be a charity fun day and Afternoon Tea on Saturday April 16 in St Luke’s Parish Centre, Stone Cross from 11 am to 4 pm. A scrummy Afternoon tea has been arranged, costing £5 for adults and £3 for children, There will be many attractions including a special guest appearance by Elsa who will be there to Meet and Greet from 12 noon to 2 pm. There will also be various stalls including home made cakes, face painting, Bric-a-Brac stall, Book sale and swap, games and puzzles and lots more. There will be a Bouncy Castle and a raffle. All proceeds will go to the charirty Cardiomyopathy UK, the heart muscle charity www.justgiving.com/mark-gamlin2016
tABLE sALE: there will be a saturday table sale on Saturday March 26 in Westham Village Hall from 9.30 am for the whole morning. There will be a variety of stalls including crafts, jewellery, bric-a-brac, toys, clothes, cakes, knitwear, gifts, jams, pickles and others. Refreshments will be available.
