A RECENT COFFEE MORNING: hosted by Christ Church parishioners Tim and Jenny Dixon raised £120 for church funds, and a celebratory tea hosted by Kathy Lewis raised £158 for the Children’s Society. The Vicar and Churchwardens would like to thank them for their hard work. Renovation work to convert the base of the tower into a kitchen will shortly be underway at Christ Church to provide better services and facilities to local groups within the community who use the church. Decaying stonework around the windows in the south aisle will be restored, and planned building works also include the installation of toilet facilities for the disabled. Christ Church is open to visitors every weekday morning and a Guide Book is available with some of the church’s history. Newcomer cards are also obtainable for anyone considering joining the congregation or who would like a visit from the Vicar or Curate. For more information, call 728522 or visit
