THE HAVEN PLAYERS: AT CHRISTMAS on this Saturday 15th December promise an afternoon (Show starts 3pm) of ‘festive feast of seasonal song, amusing readings and sketches to warm the chilliest fingers and toes!’ The ticket price of Adults £10 and U16 £7 will include mince pies and mulled wine or tea and coffee. QUIZ: IN AID OF ETHEL WOOD HALL DEFIBRILLATOR Will be held at the Heron in Westham on Tuesday 18th at 7.30pm Maximum team of six and £2 entry each. There will be three prizes and being the time of year a prize for best (or maybe worst Christmas!) jumper. Call 01323 761041 to book.

PEVENSEY COURT HOUSE: LAURIE WILKINSON the local poet will be launching, or should I say unveiling his new book ‘Poet Reveals All’ on This Saturday 15th at 3pm in Pevensey Court House. All of the profits go to Help the Heroes and its free to attend so please come along. Tea and Coffee will be available.

COURT HOUSE REMEMBERS: Walk down Gaol Lane and you will see a new sign up on the wall of the Court house listing the people in Pevensey Parish who were killed in World War I and II. Of course this year marks the 100th anniversary of WWI and next year 2019 will be the 80th anniversary of the start of World War II. In the 2019 season there will be a new exhibition of Pevensey at War on display in the Court House.
