PEVENSEY COURT HOUSE & GAOL: Another season is coming to an end with only this Sunday and Half term left. Its been a busy year with lots of work being done. The complete refurbishment of the Cells area has just finiished complete with a new and expensive Oak Door. Apart from this new heaters have been installed upstairs and if you park in the car park you probably will have noticed the fresh lines and the half barrel planters put in and planted with flowers. Further along the bottom part of the Cattle Market Car Park Wall has been repaired and repointed. Next year it should be new drainage put in for the Court House and Gaol and repair work to the Wall. - Incidentally if you haven’t seen it then come on Sunday and look at the newly discovered Tudor Window found during renovation and now restored in the Gaol Cell complete with the original Iron Grill.
PRIORY COURT QUIZ: Last week £148 was raised for Help the Heroes with local Poet and Fundraiser Laurie Wilkinson reading out some of his poems in the interval. Next month, third Wednesday, it going to be raising money towards the Pevensey Christmas lights. Booking is essential and there is a maximum of six per team.
PEVENSEY GHOST WALKS: Its October again and coming up to Halloween. This month there is a walk every Saturday at 7.30pm from the Castle Car Park including Saturday 28th and of course there will be a walk on Halloween Tuesday 31st. at 7,30.
