PEVENSEY BAY LIBRARY: Wealden Council have decided not to list the Beach Tavern as a Community Asset which means ideas of turning into a Library and Community Centre will have to be shelved. The pressure needs to be kept up for the current library to be reopened. Friends of Pevensey Bay Library will be meeting this Friday 29th at Pevensey Bay Baptist Church at 7pm.
HAVEN PLAYERS: There is till just about time to catch the Haven Players Dick Whittington and his Cat in Sandals. The last dates are 29th and 30th Jaunuary at Stone Cross Memorial Hall at 7.30pm together with a Matinee on 30th at 2.30pm. You can buy tickets in advance at www.havenplayers.com
VILLAGE SIGN: Hopefully Pevensey will soon have its Village Sign. The application has gone to Planning at Wealden and it looks as though there are no problems, so after many years being debated it may now actually go ahead !
PEVENSEY DREAMERS: Meet every Thursday. On the first (social meeting which can include speakers, quizzes etc.) and second Thurdays (Games Afternoon -cards, Scrabble Bingo etc.) of the month the meetings are held at the Ethel Wood Memorial Community Centre at 2pm (entry £1) The other Thursdays are taken up by outings to local venues.
